Analyst
London · Full-time · Hybrid · 2 positions
Help prepare and execute debt raises and refinancings for corporate borrowers. You will turn financial information into clear analysis, build models and prepare the materials lenders need to understand a credit, working directly with the Managing Directors.
What you will do
- Analyse historical accounts and management information, reconcile inconsistencies and identify the drivers of earnings, cash flow and working capital.
- Build operating forecasts, debt schedules and financing scenarios, including downside cases and covenant headroom.
- Prepare information memoranda, lender presentations and supporting analysis that explain the credit case accurately.
- Research relevant lenders and financing structures, and compare proposed terms on a consistent basis.
- Organise data-room materials, maintain diligence trackers and help answer lender questions through documentation and completion.
What we are looking for
- A solid understanding of financial statements and how profit, cash flow and the balance sheet connect.
- Confidence using Excel to build transparent models that another person can follow and review.
- Careful written communication and the ability to explain what the numbers mean for a financing decision.
- Experience or study in corporate finance, accounting, economics or a related analytical field; relevant transaction work is helpful.
- Attention to detail, reliable follow-through and the judgement to raise uncertainties early rather than hide them.
What we offer
- Direct involvement in borrower-side advisory work, from preparation and analysis through the financing process.
- Access to the Managing Directors’ perspective on credit, structuring and lender negotiations.
- Scope to develop modelling and transaction skills while helping improve the firm’s analytical tools and materials.
- A full-time role based in London, with hybrid working.
